Audio-Technica has unveiled the ATH-S300BT wireless headphones with hear-through noise-cancellation, 90 hours battery life, and multipoint pairing. A three minute charge provides 2.5 hours of runtime, and a 3.5 mm audio cable allows for continued use even when the battery is fully drained.

Audio-Technica has unveiled the ATH-S300BT wireless headphones with hear-through noise-cancellation, multipoint pairing, and 90 hours of battery life.

The noise-cancelling feature has three modes: off, on, and hear-through, where ambient sounds can be heard without removing the headphones. A three-minute charge of the ATH-S300BT using the included USB cable provides 2.5 hours of runtime, and using active noise cancellation drops the 90 hours runtime to 60 hours.

The ATH-S300BT can connect to two devices over Bluetooth 5.1 from up to 33 feet (10 m) away and supports the SBC and AAC audio codecs for music playback. The low-latency mode reduces processing delays to better synchronize video with audio when gaming. A 3.5 mm audio jack with the included cable enables non-stop use for calls and music even when the battery is fully drained and reduces latency even further.

The over-ear headphones use 40 mm drivers for powerful sound while MEMS microphones enable clear conversations in noisy environments. The drivers have a frequency response of 20 to 20 kHz with a 103 dB/mW sensitivity, and the microphones have a response of 50 to 10 kHz with a -38 dB sensitivity. The 3.5 mm audio cable also has a separate, electret condenser microphone with a sensitivity of -42 dB, and mpedance is an unusual 44.5 ohms. The ATH-S300BT weighs 9.1 oz. (258 g).

The ATH-S300BT, accented with terrazzo-marbled patterns, will be available in July in beige and black at an MSRP of $99. Readers might want to pick up an Audio-Technica Sound Burger Bluetooth portable record player to rock with these headphones.

Audio-Technica, a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 60 years, announces the launch of the ATH-S300BT wireless headphones designed to give users an unmistakable sense of audio freedom for up to 90 hours.

With best-in-class battery life of up to 90 hours of continuous playback, the ATH-S300BT allows users greater audio freedom without the worry of frequent charging. Should the battery run out of power, a quick 3-minute charge will provide up to 2.5 hours of use. Hybrid digital noise-canceling technology allows users to escape the hustle and bustle of their surroundings and immerse themselves in music, a video, or concentrate on work in a truly quiet space.

Designed to match today’s era of versatility, the ATH-S300BT showcases the combination of sleek and smooth angles with a neutral color palate, perfect for everyday use. The thick and soft earpads ensure a snug fit, while the ergonomic design provides long-lasting comfort even during extended use. The headphones feature distinct terrazzo-marbled pattern accents, embodying a truly unique look unlike any other.

Looking past the eye-catching design, these headphones represent the culmination of more than 60 years of pursuing high-quality sound. Equipped with 40 mm drivers, these headphones offer powerful, full-spectrum sound. The headphones provide three listening modes: hear-through, which lets users hear ambient sounds, noise-cancelling, and ‘OFF.’ All can be switched at any time with a simple press of a button to suit any situation. These headphones also offer multipoint support, allowing users to connect to two devices at the same time, removing the hassle of switching between devices and needing to re-pair.

A built-in microphone allows for crystal clear communication on calls, while the easy-touch buttons in the earcup allow for convenience control of volume, playback, and more. The low latency mode minimizes sound delay, improving synchronicity between audio and video when gaming, streaming, or simply watching videos.

The ATH-S300BT headphones are compatible with Siri and Google Assistant and can be used wireless or wired using the headphones included 1.2m (3.9’) cable with a 3.5mm gold-plated stereo mini-plug. For an analog connection or when the battery is out, simply connect the headphones to your device using the included cable. The headphones can be used for calls even with a wired connection using the cable’s in-line mic.
