Asus has announced a whole range of innovative products at Computex 2013 like the Zenbook Infinity featuring a Gorilla Glass cover and the Transformer Book Trio packing both Windows 8 and Android as well as two different Intel processors. Asus Chairman Jonney Shih also announced the MeMO Pad HD 7 and MeMO Pad FHD 10.
However, Asus even had its very own Samsung Galaxy Note II competitor up its sleeve. The 6-inch Fonepad Note FHD 6 includes a stylus for pen input on a 1920 x 1080 Super IPS+ display. The display should be easily viewable outdoors as it has a brightness level of a 450 cd/m². The new Fonepad family member also comes with a 1.6GHz Z2560 dual-core Intel Clover Trail Atom, 2GB RAM, a 3G/UMTS modem, 8MP (rear) and 1.2MP cameras, and front-facing stereo speakers.
If Asus’ track record is anything to go by, the Fonepad Note FHD 6 should end up significantly cheaper than Samsung's (unannounced) Galaxy Note III. Precise details of pricing, launch dates, and regional availability will follow in subsequent articles as Asus makes the information available.
