Asus ZenFone 3 reveal may finally be coming next week
A direct successor to the ZenFone 2 was more of a matter of "when" and not "if". Rumors from as early as January leaked core specifications on the device based on an entry on the GFXBench database. Additional rumors early last month also leaked images and wireless capabilities of the device based on TENAA files. Now, a new official countdown will end this coming Computex leading to a "Zenvolution" announcement directly from Asus itself.
Short teaser trailers of the next ZenFone carry the tags "Clarity", "Desire", and "Unlimited", though with little else about the smartphone.
More recent rumors on the ZenFone 3 have been coming from an entry in the AnTuTu database instead of GFXBench. Accordingly, the smartphone is expected to carry a Snapdragon 820 SoC, FHD panel, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB eMMC, and 23 MP rear camera with a final AnTuTu score of 135000 points.
Come May 30th, we are expecting at least three variants of the smartphone including the ZenFone 3 Max and ZenFone 3 Deluxe in addition to the standard ZenFone 3.
