Although a pleasure to use, the machine is married by a handful of minor performance and functionality issues - including a lack of ports - which, combined with a high price tag (the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is available for £959 exc VAT for instance), means it edges more on the side of luxury than necessity.

I saw this at the launch last year and despite two representatives of ASUS saying it would be available from tomorrow, it has taken a whole lot of tomorrows to pass before I managed to finally get one into my hands to review.

CommentIntel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
8550U: Kaby-Lake-Refresh based low power quad-core processor. The four cores are clocked between 1.8 and 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) and support HyperThreading. Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.
