Owning the latest AMD Renoir processor will cost you a couple hundred dollars more than your typical gaming laptop powered by the GeForce RTX 2060. Asus first teased the Zephyrus G15 and its brand new 35 W AMD Ryzen 7 CPU back at CES 2020.

If the recent 14-inch Zephyrus G14 is too small for your liking, then its 15.6-inch bigger brother might do the trick. Amazon is now accepting pre-orders for the Zephyrus G15 GA502IV set for a launch on April 13.

The Zephyrus G15 is notable for its third generation AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS processor. This octa-core CPU is part of AMD's latest 7 nm Renoir series designed to tackle the 14 nm Intel Core i9-9880H while consuming less power in the process. The Ryzen 9 4900HS left solid impressions and so we expect the same out of the Ryzen 7 4800HS.

Outside of the CPU, users will also get a high-end 1080p display with a native 240 Hz refresh rate, 3 ms response time, and a Pantone-calibrated color profile.

Missing from this SKU will be the optional AniMe Matrix feature that Asus had boasted at CES 2020.

Expect our review on the Zephyrus G15 in the weeks to come. In the meantime, many of our existing comments on the Zephyrus G14 will apply here since both systems share the same design language and features.
