The revised for 2022 Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 packs a serious punch thanks to its capable Intel 12th Gen CPU, powerful Nvidia graphics, and peppy PCIE 4.0 SSD. It’s about as good as it gets this side of pricing for pure gaming performance and pretty much any PC workload. It’s also a stellar gaming platform thanks to its 240Hz refresh and 1440p resolution. The problem is, it skimps a webcam and that nippy 15.6-inch panel looks a little dull, significantly limiting the Scar’s appeal as an all-around device for both gaming and content creation. It’s a pity because such small mistakes compromise the appeal of a well-built machine that offers great battery life; the design might not be for everyone. If it were my money being spent

The ROG Strix Scar 15 has decent value and a fantastic media experience thanks to a super-bright screen and solid speakers. I could do without a few physical aspects of the design like the side-venting exhaust and the mostly unnecessary Keystone. The omission of a webcam, even a basic one, hits especially hard for anyone who wants to occasionally get some work done on their gaming laptop. Unless you’re a big fan of the admittedly charming aesthetic, there are better choices out there.

With a starting price of Rs 2,32,135 (USD 2469), the Strix Scar 15 is a very premium gaming laptop, but it’s not for everyone. You should consider the Strix Scar 15 if you are a very power-hungry user who edits videos with long timelines and wants to play games with maximum graphics performance and smooth, steady FPS, and the price is not an issue. With the ROG Strix Scar 15, you get excellent performance, build quality, decent display quality, etc. All in all, if you are on a tight budget and looking for a gaming laptop, we’d recommend taking a look at the 2022 Edition of the Asus TUF F15, as during our testing this laptop performed quite well for the price.

No two ways about it, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 is one of the most impressive gaming laptops we’ve reviewed – the first with Intel’s Alder Lake CPU. From its peppy CPU to the spirted RTX 3070 Ti GPU; it outpaces the competition and it does so at a price below $3000. Although still expensive, this is remarkable. You’ll love the fabulous display and a wonderful keyboard and you have a powerful piece of equipment, with the only thing to complain about being the lack of a built-in webcam and fingerprint reader. Given the beast the Strix Scar 15 is, however, we can easily overlook such weaknesses. If you’re in the market for the best gaming laptop two grand can buy, look no further. The Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 G533ZW-AS94 is the best you’ve been waiting for. However, if you need it thin, light and portable, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 (RTX 3080, AMD Ryzen 9) is a great companion for gaming on the go.

Honestly, there isn’t a perfect gaming laptop, but this one here has it all. The fastest CPU to date and the powerful RTX 3070 Ti make this laptop a strong gaming performer and have good battery life. The combo of the processor and the GPU alone is well worth the price, especially in this situation where the chip supply chains are disrupted. As a result, if you want to take a gaming desktop power on the go, then this 2022 ROG Strix Scar G533ZW-AS94 with i9 12900H comes strongly recommended!
