Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is a major Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer based in Taipei, founded in 1989. Under the Asus brand name, the company manufactures a wide range of products, including laptops, desktops, motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, smartphones and networking equipment, complete systems and PC components for end users.
Under the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand name, ASUS manufactures gaming laptops known by gamers for their powerful specifications, dedicated graphics cards, high refresh rate displays and advanced cooling systems.
Beyond gaming, a wide range of notebooks are offered for different needs and budgets, from ultra-slim and lightweight ultrabooks to versatile 2-in-1 convertibles and budget-friendly options. In 2023, Asus had a 7% global market share of the PC market.
Customer satisfaction with ASUS notebooks concerns performance, the features, and the good price-performance ratio of ASUS notebooks. However, as with any brand, there are occasional reports of problems such as overheating, driver compatibility, or build quality issues.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 Mobile: Mid range laptop graphics card based on the Turing architecture with raytracing features and 2,048 shaders (more than a RTX 2060) but only a small 64 Bit memory bus.
Intel Arc 7-Core: Integrated graphics adapter based on the Xe LPG architecture (similar to the dedicated Arc GPUs, but with a focus on efficiency). Provides 7 of the 8 Xe cores (112 Xe Vector Engines) and 7 ray tracing units.
Intel Arc 130T: Integrated graphics unit of the Intel Arrow Lake H/HX CPU series. It is based on the Xe+ architecture and features 7 cores

Intel Raptor Lake-U:
i7-1355U: Alder Lake based mobile CPU with 2 performance cores and 8 efficient cores. The performance cores offer hyper threading, leading to 12 threads that can be processed. The CPU clocks from 1.2 to 5 GHz. The TDP is specified at 15 Watt.
Intel Meteor Lake-H:
Ultra 5 125H: A mid-range Meteor Lake family chip that debuted in December 2023. This 1st Gen Core Ultra laptop processor has come to replace 13th generation Core chips; it has 14 cores (4 + 8 + 2) and 18 threads at its disposal. Its Performance cores, of which there are 4, run at up to 4.5 GHz while its Efficient cores, of which there are 10 (8 main cores plus 2 extra ones found in the Low Power Island) run at up to 3.6 GHz. The 7-core Arc GPU, just out of the oven, serves as the integrated graphics adapter (this runs at up to 2.20 GHz) and there is a bevy of other brand-new technologies on offer as well such as the integrated AI Boost NPU with two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration. The chip's Intel-recommended Base power consumption is 28 W while its maximum Turbo power consumption is supposed to be within 115 W.
Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 5 225H: High-end mobile processor based on the Arrow Lake architecture with 14 of the 16 cores divided into 3 clusters. The fast 4 P-cores clock at up to 4.9 GHz. There are also 8 smaller E-cores with up to 4.3 GHz and 2 small low power cores (same architecture) with up to 2.5 GHz. It integrates a small NPU with 13 TOPS peak performance and supports vPro Essentials.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
16.00:
This range for display formats was and is a rarity. It is larger than the general standard of 15 inches, but not yet in the range of large workstations. One usually has higher screen resolutions available, but portability suffers from that.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
No weight comment found (one expected)!
82.15%: This rating is slightly above average, there are somewhat more devices with worse ratings. However, clear purchase recommendations look different.
