Apple releases macOS Sonoma 14.2 release candidate for developers
As Apple is gearing up for the Sonoma 14.2 update for macOS, it has released the RC version to developers for testing purposes. The final version is expected to be launched to the public next week.
According to the release notes, macOS Sonoma 14.2 will bring some changes and improvements to PDFs, Messages, Weather, Clock, Apple Music, and more. Some of the notable changes will include better autofill for PDFs, easier access to stickers in Messages, advanced security features in Messages, new widgets in the Weather app, and a few changes in Apple Music and Shazam.
In addition to this, several issues with contact verification, widgets, Messages, and more have also been resolved.
The macOS software update is expected to drop next week after the testing period. As of now, Apple developers can opt-in for the beta through System Settings > Software Updates > Sonoma Developer Beta. Once released, the 14.2 update will be available for MacBooks, including the new 2023 MacBook M3 Max chip (curr. US$3,499 on Amazon).
