Anker launches refreshed super-thin magnetic power bank with 20W fast charging

Anker has launched refreshed Air series power banks, and one of them comes with a 5,000mAh capacity. This model is 0.86cm thick, and this thin design should make it an easy pick as travel gear. Of course, the battery size makes it a less ideal pick for those who are looking for a power bank that can recharge phones multiple times.

Nonetheless, Anker highlights that the 5,000mAh Air can offer 15W wireless charging, allowing the iPhone 17 Pro to go from 0% to 33% in 30 minutes. There's support for 20W wired fast charging through the USB-C port, and such a combination should allow the power bank to recharge two devices at the same time.

There's no built-in display, but Anker has integrated indicator lights to show the internal battery status during charging and discharging. The company also notes that the 12.8N magnet configuration of the power bank ensures reliable magnetic charging, and the brand even claims that it works through a case.

Other than that, the overall design appears not much different than the Anker Air 2 that was released in May 2025. To be specific, the specs are even identical, which means that the only notable change in this refresh is the new Chinese standard certification.

The slim 2026 Anker Air is available in China with a launch price of CNY 329, around $48. It's unclear whether the company will bring this version of the power bank to the global market, as the Anker Nano Power Bank (5K, MagGo) is already available with identical specs (available on Amazon).
