When it comes to delivering timely software updates, Chinese OEMs are notorious for meting out step-motherly treatment to their devices. Realme does a decent-ish job of keeping its devices up to date with the latest software and security patches. It is somewhat of an arduous task, given the number of devices the company has on the market. On that note, Realme has just rolled out the Android 10 update for the Realme X2.
Android 10 comes to the Realme X2 in the form of the company's in-house Android fork- Realme UI. It bumps up the phone's software version to RMX1992AEX_11.C.05 and is bundled with what we assume is the March 2020 Android security patch. Some of the changes include the addition of a three-finger screenshot gesture, a 'smart sidebar,' new charging animations, new wallpapers, and more. It also includes standard Android 10 features such as Google's new navigation gestures, Focus Mode, Digital Wellbeing statistics, and more. You can read the full changelog here.
Realme X2 owners can expect the update to hit their devices OTA in the coming weeks. One needs to be on the latest software version A.19 to be eligible for the upgrade. Realme is yet to upload the full update on its forums, so sideloading it isn't an option for now.
