Alienware launches the 14, 17, and 18 gaming laptops

It's been a while since we saw anything really new from Alienware. There have been a few updates and upgrades, but the Alienware 14, 17, and 18 are totally new laptops. The American company have modernized the exterior of their new products as well as the internals and have done away with the plastic cases in favor of anodized aluminum and magnesium alloy.

Minimum specs for the Alienware 14 include a 14-inch 1366 x 768 anti-glare display, an Intel Core i7 4700MQ CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M GPU, a 750 GB 7200 RPM HDD, 8 GB RAM, and Killer NIC1202 802.11n wiFi.

The Alienware 17 starts with a 17.3-inch anti-glare 1600 x 900 display, an Intel Core i7 4700MQ CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPU, a 750 GB 7200 RPM HDD, 8 GB RAM, and Broadcom 4352 802.11n/ac wifi.

The 18 gets an 18.4-inch TrueLife PLS 1920 X 1080 display, an Intel Core i7 4700MQ CPU, dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPUs, a 750 GB 7200 RPM HDD, 8 GB RAM, and Broadcom 4352 802.11n/ac wifi.

All three models are offered with a wide range of upgrades including multiple SSDs, up to 32 GB RAM, and even an overclocked Intel Core i7 4930MX CPU for the 18.

The new gaming laptops are available to order now starting at US$1199 for the 14, US$1499 for the 17, and US$2099 for the 18.
