Chinese brand Alcatel announced the Plus 10 detachable at MWC 2016 and has now announced a larger and more powerful Plus 12 detachable just in time for MWC 2017.
Core specifications include the following:

- 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron N3350 w/ Turbo Boost up to 2.3/2.4 GHz
- 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM
- 64 GB eMMC
- 6900 mAh battery (+2580 mAh battery in docking station)
- USB Type-C, 3.5 mm audio jack, HDMI
- LTE compatible
- Fingerprint sensor
In comparison, the original Plus 10 carried a smaller 10.1-inch display, lower 1280 x 800 resolution, Intel Atom x5 SoC, and half the RAM and storage space. Up to 15 other wireless devices can connect to the Plus 12 as a hot spot to take advantage of LTE connectivity.
The Alcatel Plus 12 will be launching this June for just under 500 Euros and will be competing directly with other affordable Windows detachables including the Lenovo Miix series. The manufacturer also specializes in budget to mainstream smartphones such as the One Touch Idol.
