Eureka FloorShine 830 review conclusion: A solid wet/dry vacuum with no standout features
In our test, the Eureka FloorShine 830 came across as a classic wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner without any real standout features. It’s a solid appliance that makes regular floor cleaning easier, but it reaches its limits when dealing with stubborn dirt.
You won’t find any “wow” moments in terms of features or performance, but that’s entirely understandable in this price range. Among the positive aspects noted in testing were the nearly edge-to-edge cleaning and the Lie-Flat function—though both are standard features on the market.
Ultimately, the Eureka FloorShine 830 is a solid wet/dry vacuum at an affordable price, competing head-to-head with other manufacturers such as Tineco, Dreame, Roborock, and Xiaomi.

Features & what’s included: Wet vacuum cleaner cleans almost edge-to-edge
The FloorShine 830 from Eureka is a classic and relatively affordable wet/dry vacuum cleaner. The unit is equipped with a mopping roller approximately 26 cm wide that rotates at 450 revolutions per minute, thereby mimicking a mopping motion. Behind it is the vacuum function, which generates up to 24 kPa of suction power with its 250 W motor.
The removable 750-ml fresh water tank is located above the mop head. There is no separate tank for cleaning agents. The removable 700-ml dirty water tank is located on the back of the unit, beneath the motor block. Above it is the handle with the control unit, which includes three buttons (On/Off, Mode, Clean). When the device is turned off, it continues to run briefly to prevent dripping.
Eureka does not offer an app for the FloorShine 830. But for a wet-vacuum cleaner, an app is more of a gimmick anyway. The simple LED display on top of the device shows the currently active mode and uses four small LED dots to indicate the battery charge level.
Included in the package, in addition to the mop vacuum (which requires the handle to be attached) are the charging station with power cord, a small cleaning brush, and an instruction manual. We would have appreciated it if a replacement mop roller had also been included.

Cleaning & handling: Stubborn dirt push it to its limits
The FloorShine 830’s cleaning performance in the test is solid. As an mid-level model, it lacks features found in higher-priced models, such as cleaning with foam, steam, or hot water. This is particularly noticeable when dealing with stubborn stains. For example, during testing, the wet-dry vacuum was unable to completely remove a dried ketchup stain from tiles, even after repeatedly running over it in turbo mode. However, this also happens with other models in this price range.
For everyday dirt, the Eureka FloorShine 830 is a reliable cleaning partner that removes most loose dirt and wet stains from the floor. The mopping roller extends all the way to the edge of the device on both sides, allowing for edge-to-edge mopping even along baseboards and furniture. Another positive feature is the anti-tangle function, thanks to which hardly any hair became tangled in the roller during testing. Unfortunately, however, it lacks LED lighting, which would make dirt on the floor more visible.
The FloorShine 830, which weighs 5.2 kg, is reasonably easy to handle. The device is assisted by two motorized wheels when moving forward. However, it does require some effort to control, even when steering. Similarly equipped wet/dry vacuums from other manufacturers are sometimes slightly lighter—which, of course, makes a positive difference during extended use and when carrying the unit from floor to floor—and are even more responsive to maneuver. The Lay-Flat function is as practical as ever, though it’s now an absolute standard. Thanks to this feature, the device can be laid flat on the floor to clean better under furniture, for example. When in this position, the device is 13 cm high, which is a respectable measurement.
Battery Life & station: Cleans for half an hour
Eureka specifies the FloorShine 830’s battery life as up to 60 minutes. Of course, that’s the ideal value in the lowest of the three modes. In Normal mode—which is the default setting we use to test battery life—the mop vacuum’s battery ran out after just under 37 minutes. That’s solid endurance, allowing even larger homes to be cleaned without a charging break. After all, the interruption would certainly be longer, since the Eureka FloorShine 830 takes about 5 hours to charge.
The wet/dry vacuum comes with the standard charging dock, which takes up approximately 31 x 29 cm of space. On this base, the device is not only charged but also self-cleans at the push of a button after use. For this, fresh water (not hot water, as stated on the product page) is used first, followed by drying with hot air at 75°C. The entire process takes about 30 minutes and is quite noisy at times, exceeding 70 dB (measured from a distance of 1 m). Therefore, it’s advisable to place the unit in a storage room or similar space. On the plus side: After the self-cleaning cycle, the mopping roller was not only dry but also thoroughly clean again.
While the mop roller is self-cleaning, the 700-ml dirty water tank must be emptied and cleaned by hand on a regular basis. This should be done promptly. Otherwise, the unit will spread unpleasant odors throughout the house via its exhaust air. The tank can be easily removed from the back of the wet/dry vacuum. It opens via a small latch. Cleaning the inside of the tank is a bit fiddly, but it’s doable with the included cleaning brush.
