AcoPower TesFridge powerful cooler for Tesla Model 3, X and Y Sub-Trunk arrives on Kickstarter
AcoPower has launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the TesFridge. The company claims the gadget is the world’s first portable freezer designed to fit a Tesla Sub-Trunk. Three models are available: the T-20 for Model 3 with a 20L capacity, the T-35 for Model Y has 35L of space, and the T-36 for Model X increases the capacity to 36L.
For context, 20L allows you to store 27 x 330ml cans or 16 x 550ml bottles. You can adjust the temperature of the TesFridge between -4 to 50°F (~-20 to 10°C), with food and drink cool in around 30 minutes. The gadget has a 45mm (~1.77-in) thick wall for improved insulation and a hollow design to allow heat dissipation. The device can be powered using the built-in socket in a Model Y or via the cigarette lighter in the other models. The cooler has an integrated LED display with controls, or you can adjust settings via an app.
You can currently pledge US$299 to the Kickstarter campaign to receive the T-20 Model 3, which will cost US$599. The T-35 Model Y and T-36 Model X are available for US$349 and US$399, respectively; these models are expected to retail for US$699 and US$799. At the time of writing, the campaign has already gained 790 backers, raising over US$325,000 and surpassing its US$10,000 goal.
