Acer Aspire Vero officially launched in Europe with EUR 799 price tag
Earlier this year (2021), Acer announced its new environmentally-friendly Acer Aspire Vero laptop. It aimed to reduce waste by including eco-friendly packaging and components made from recyclable plastics. Acer has now announced the price and availability of the Aspire Vero in Europe. Its entry-level variant will cost EUR 799 and hit shelves in November 2021.
The Acer Aspire Vero features a 15.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution and 250 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, there lies an 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake processor, but Acer has neglected to mention the model. Given the Aspire Vero's form factor and announcement date, we're probably looking at a 35W chip.
The Acer Aspire Vero's memory and storage configurations max out at 16GB of 3,200 MT/s DDR4 RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage. There is no word about its exact battery capacity, unfortunately. Input options include one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen2 port, two USB Type-A 3.2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one 3.5mm audio jack and an RJ-45 Ethernet port.
Wireless connectivity features on the Acer Aspire Vero include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. A fingerprint sensor on the trackpad allows for biometric authentication. It is one of the first laptops to ship with Windows 11 out of the box. Unlike many modern-day laptops, the Acer Aspire Vero is easy to take apart with easily accessible standardized screws.
