Realme has reportedly leaked the existence of an upcoming 2022 smartphone on its own Indian website. Now, the same device is allegedly in line for the successor to the ISOCELL HM2 sensor that has brought triple-digit resolutions to many phones in the past - despite not even having 5G.

The leaker Yogesh Brar has reportedly happened upon a "Realme 9" on a repair website for its OEM. There would be nothing strange in this discovery - were it not that this smartphone an unreleased, 4G/LTE-only version of the existing vanilla 9 5G.

The evidence of this apparenlty upcoming smartphone may have now disappeared from its original source. However, rumors of the allegedly 6 to 8GB RAM Realme 9 persist, and have now developed to the point at which GSMArena now asserts it will stand out among its potentially budget competitors with not only a 108MP main camera, but one with an all-new sensor to support this resolution.

The ISOCELL HM6 is said to supercede its predecessor with a the scope for light-capture improved by 123% compared to the HM2. GSMArena even claims to have an official Realme poster touting the newer sensor as capable of delivering "another level of photography" in an upcoming 9-series device.

Therefore, what might be the final Realme 9 variant mght indeed by launched soon. It seems it might do so in India, alongside the rest of its series.
