Nitecore has introduced a flashlight, the TM9K Pro, that is somewhat related to the EDC33 and EDC35 models. Up to 27 LEDs generate a particularly bright stream of light, but the torch should only be used for short periods of time.

Nitecore is now adopting the LED design of the EDC33 and ECDC35 models for larger flashlights. The TM9K Pro from the Tiny Monster series utilizes three core LEDs with reflectors, each surrounded by eight additional smaller LEDs. This makes for a total of 27 LEDs.

If all LEDs are active, the flashlight creates a stream of light with 9900 lumens ("Lumin Shield"). As this is only a short-term function, Nitecore does not specify a battery life for this. Somewhat weaker is the search mode with 6000 lumens. Here too, Nitecore does not specify a runtime, so the mode is only intended for short-term activation. The light is slighly more concentrated in search mode and reaches 510 meters. In Lumin Shield mode, only 450 meters is possible.

Battery life is only available for the 2,000 lumen mode with the name 'High', which reaches 320 meters. In this mode, the flashlight is said to last up to three hours. There are further gradations with 500, 130 and 30 lumens. In the lowest mode, the battery life is 65 hours.

A sensor protects the flashlight from overheating when close to objects in the particularly high modes from 'High' upwards. The heat development is likely to be enormous. The non-PWM flashlight has an IP rating of IP68 and can withstand drops of up to one meter. The flashlight is specified as around 13 cm long and weighing 227 grams.

Nitecore has adopted the permanently installed battery from the EDC33 and EDC35 models. However, unusually for Nitecore, this offers 5000 mAh without any indication of voltage or watt hours. Nevertheless, the battery can be charged quite quickly. According to the data sheet, the TM9K Pro supports Quickcharge via USB-C with up to 18 watts. However, USB Power Delivery is not supported.

Nitecore has not yet commented on the price and availability. The TM9K predecessor is still available at Amazon.
