Last month, 8BitDo announced a Mecha Break edition of its Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard. Now, the keyboard has received a significant discount, albeit for a limited time.
The 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Mecha Break Edition cost $119.99, but for a limited time, buyers will be able to purchase it for $95.99 — 20% off or $24 off its launch price. There are two ways to get the keyboard at the discounted price as the deal.
The first way to claim the deal requires buyers to apply a coupon when adding the item to their cart. There's no coupon code as all you have to do is check the coupon box below the price and the discount will be added at checkout. According to this listing which is sold by the official 8BitDo Amazon store, the coupon expires on August 10, 2025.
The second way to redeem the deal is to purchase the one sold by Amazon itself. This already has the price slashed to $95.99, and you just have to add it to your cart and proceed checkout. However, 8BitDo says this deal expires today, August 9.
Regardless of which one you purchase, you should get the keyboard, the matching 8BitDo Dual Super Buttons, and the 21 extra PBT keycaps. It should also come with stickers, a keycaps puller, and a USB cable.
The 8BitDo Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard Mecha Break Edition has Kailh Glaze Jellyfish Pro linear switches, keycaps with a matte UV coating, hot-swappable PCB, and RGB backlight with 8 lighting modes. It can be used as a wired keyboard or connected via Bluetooth or the included 2.4GHz adapter; and the built-in 4,000mAh battery capacity can provide up to 300 hours of use.
