Lenovo's 16-inch workstation is a proper multimedia machine with a 4K OLED touchscreen, a fast AMD Ryzen AI 7 processor and reasonable amount of memory, the latter of which can be easily upgraded after purchase.

While a 16-inch laptop is probably the most popular size in the gaming laptop segment right now, workstation users who need lots of screen real estate may also want to explore this form factor. Fortunately, Lenovo currently offers a pretty good deal for prospective buyers who are looking for an upgradable, well-equipped and future-proof machine like the ThinkPad P16s Gen 4.

To be more precise, Lenovo is currently granting a 41% discount on the latest ThinkPad P16s Gen 4. In this case, it's the AMD configuration with the AMD Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350 processor and 32GB DDR5 memory that's on sale for $1,399 instead of the regular list price of $2,379. Alternatively, bargain hunters can grab the model variant with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 Pro 370 and twice the amount of RAM for $1,499 instead of $2,529.

ThinkPad with Ryzen AI 7 and 4K OLED or Ryzen AI 9 and FHD IPS

Both variants come with a 1TB SSD, but only the former sports the high-resolution 4K OLED screen with 100% DCI-P3 colors, 400 nits and Dolby Vision. The quicker Ryzen AI 9 SKU features the usual 1920 x 1200 IPS panel with 500 nits and 100% sRGB, which could be a more sensible choice for Lenovo fans who are often using their laptop on an external monitor.

Since both 16-inch laptops lack a dedicated graphics card, it should be noted that the Ryzen AI 7 model of the ThinkPad P16s has the slower AMD Radeon 860M iGPU compared to the Radeon 890M in the other configuration. In any case, the RAM and SSD are upgradable and both processors should be more than fast enough for the foreseeable future, so laptop buyers who have been looking for a sale on a machine with these specs might want to head over to Lenovo to take advantage of this mentionable discount.
