30,000 lumens: Acebeam's high-power flashlight X80GT 3 uses 24 LEDs

Acebeam is preparing the launch of a new exploration flashlight. The X80GT 3 will come in two variants, and both feature 24 LEDs for high light output. However, only one gets up to 30,000 lumens and 430 meters of range, according to the manufacturer. The other one uses some of those LED positions for red and UV LEDs. Both flashlights use a floodlight arrangement.

Let's start with the 560 g / 19.75 oz high-power version. It uses 24 6,000 K LEDs, which can produce a very bright light. However, the maximum output of 30,000 lumens is only available for 20 seconds. But Acebeam claims that the X80GT 3 "also supports repeated full-power Turbo activation", according to the website.

Lower settings offer a more stable light output. For example, the Med 1 setting offers 2,300 lumens for 3 hours before decreasing the light output, while the higher Med 2 setting lasts only 7 minutes at 7,200 lumens.

Acebeam promises non-PWM dimming between 150 and 3,500 lumens, providing a flicker-free experience. Additionally, the flashlight has a small high-CRI side light (80 lumens, 95+ CRI), which can run for up to 32 hours.

The "White Light" version is powered by four non-replaceable 18650 batteries.

Multi-Light-Source version with red and UV lights

The variant called Multi-Light-Source differs in this regard. Its four 18650 batteries are replaceable. But the light output is limited to a maximum of 23,000 lumens. That is due to 6 out of 24 LEDs being used for other light sources. Four LEDs can be used for red light. The other two LEDs emit UV light. Acebeam hasn't released the full specifications for this flashlight yet.

Another difference between the two variants: The high-power version is equipped with a USB-C port (60 watts), while the Multi-Light-Source version requires the batteries to be changed on the go and a separate charger.

The lights are also compatible with an optional handle and can be mounted on a tripod.

The X80GT 3 will be launched on September 21. The flashlight with 30,000 lumens costs 180 USD. The variant with red and UV LEDs is slightly cheaper at 170 USD. Acebeam also wants to release a third variant ("Neutral Multi"), which has yet to be revealed.
