Deal | $1.49 after 90% off: Heartfelt puzzle adventure from No Man's Sky studio drops to lowest price ever on Steam

The medium of gaming is full of titles that tell tales of glory, with over-the-top action and blockbuster set pieces. However, some games tackle the most important questions of all: Questions that arise from our humanity. The Last Campfire is one such game. It is a gorgeous adventure/puzzle-solving title that earned a 9/10 review score from IGN and has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam. The game is currently available for $1.49 on Steam, offering a massive 90% discount.
Developed by Hello Games of No Man's Sky, The Last Campfire is a short experience that you can finish in six to seven hours. However, the game makes good use of its short runtime, as it manages to be “a clear and ultimately highly rewarding journey”, per IGN.
The Last Campfire tells a tale of Ember, a soul traversing artfully crafted environments, meeting interesting characters, and helping Forlorns find their way. Forlorns in The Last Campfire are lost Embers who’ve given up. Left without hope, Forlorns have turned to stone. Ember, our protagonist, must help these Forlorns find hope again. Players do this by entering the mind of a Forlorn and solving a puzzle.
Puzzle solving is the main gameplay loop of The Last Campfire. Fortunately, Hello Games has ensured a good balance of variety and complexity. While there is a good variety of puzzles, they never become annoyingly difficult to solve. Game progression is tied to solving these puzzles that provide rewards and unlock new game areas.
There is absolutely no combat in The Last Campfire. So, if you can’t stand your game not having any combat at all, The Last Campfire may not be for you.
