Realme 6
In the year 2010, Oppo created a sub-brand of smartphones called Oppo Real, but later, in 2018, the brand was spun off into its own separate brand called Realme. Realme aims to provide interesting phones by bringing together a perfect combination of the high end of the mid range and the lower end of the high range. Realme had always done a good job of updating designs while keeping a sense of familiarity across all of its successive product generations, and it has managed to maintain that with the latest addition to the family, the Realme 6. This device definitely carries a stunning look that manages to steal attention at first sight with the company’s incorporated ‘Comet design’. It has shiny streaks of lines that meet right at the bottom, making it look like a replica of the Realme XT – the Realme 6 looks indistinguishable from the XT in terms of its design and exterior. However, the Realme 6 has opted for a water drop notch instead of the punch hole cutout of the Realme XT.
The phone has a polished finish, and the Comet design plays an important role in secretly hiding any fingerprint marks on the back with its reflective back. As for the display, the Realme 6 comes with an 6.5-inch Full-HD+ display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. The phone provides adequate brightness and sharp colors in all situations. There is also an eye-care mode, dark mode and OSIE (Object and Semantic Images and Eye-tracking) effect which further enhances the user’s viewing experience. In terms of its performance, the Realme 6 has been incorporated with a MediaTek Helio G90T and runs on Android 10 based on the company’s in-house Realme UI. The UI was found to be flawless in multitasking and shifting from one app to another. Even with extended gaming sessions at high graphic settings, the phone did not lag in any way.
The Realme 6 has been equipped with a total of five cameras, with four at the back and one at the front. The quad-camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel high-resolution ultra-wide-angle sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a B&W Portrait lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. There are also other exciting features included, such as Time Lapse, Ultra-Macro, Pro camera, Slo-Mo, Pano and Night Mode. As for the front camera, there is a dedicated 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The rear cameras do an impressive job in daylight conditions. As for the selfie shots, there was no unnecessary beautification of the image and only negligible distortion. In terms of its battery, the Realme 6 has a decent 4,300mAh battery paired with Oppo’s 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. The phone was found to be able to deliver up to 1.5 days of battery life with regular calling, browsing and scrolling, while it lasts for a little more than one day with extensive usage. While the Realme 6 has some great features, the choice of owning one is entirely subjective and depends on individual preference.

Realme, the new star in the smartphone universe, introduces a 90-Hz display to the mid-range for 230-300 Euros (~$261-$340) depending on the configuration. The lowest-end configuration contains 64 GB of ROM and 4 GB of RAM.

For the price, however, it’s really tough to find fault with the Realme 6; it’s one of the finest smartphones in its price range, and the cheapest phone we’ve ever tested to have a 90Hz screen. Performance and battery life are decent and even the cameras are fine – if not quite up to the standard of the iPhone SE (2020).

Realme has done it again – the brand’s two newest phones are excellent value for money even if you don’t factor in their silky-smooth displays. Both phones are easy on the eyes, incredibly capable, and have a good set of snappers, as well as displays that are a pleasure to use with games and movies. Both phones are definitely worth the price that Realme is asking for them—Php 16,990 for the 8GB/128GB variant of the Realme 6 Pro, Php 13,990 for the 8GB/128GB variant of the Realme 6, and Php 11,990 for the 4GB/128GB variant of the Realme 6.

From the looks of it, Realme has another winner in their hands with the Realme 6, which should complement its brother nicely when it’s officially released in the Philippines in the next few days. Just like the Realme 6 Pro we don’t have solid pricing for the Realme 6 yet, though the phone starts at INR 13,999 (roughly Php 9.3K) in India for the 4GB/64GB variant. If Realme can keep pricing close to what it’s offering in the Indian subcontinent, then Xiaomi’s really in a world of hurt in the sub Php 15K price point this year.

The Realme 6 once again provides bang for buck, but with a camera that disappoints in some aspects. Given that the device comes so soon after its predecessors, and costs a fair bit more, I can’t get as enthusiastic about it as I would like to, even though on the surface it’s got (nearly) all the ingredients to be an outstanding device in its field.

“Green Tea” and “White Milk” are the two colors that the Realme 6i is available in. And just like the real green tea the color might not please everyone. The combination of price and performance, on the other hand, most likely will. For less than $200 you get a smartphone equipped with 48 MP quad-camera, 128 GB of storage space, a large battery, and fast charging.

The Realme 6i is a beautifully designed smartphone that on the surface offers a compelling set of features, including a long-lasting battery and capable gaming performance at a budget price. However, the camera is disappointing: while the quad layout is fantastic in some settings, the quality can be inconsistent – in low light, macro and zoom images fall short. Considering the Realme 7 offers higher specs at a similar price, it’s tough to recommend the Realme 6i to anyone looking beyond the basics.

Just like the realme 6 at launch, the realme 6i has a starting price tag of Rs. 12999 for the 4GB/64GB version. The positives of the realme 6 are very present with the realme 6i — smooth 90Hz screen, amazing battery life and great day-to-day performance. To add to this, realme has fixed the thermal issues and the camera has been slightly improved. It is quite hard to find a smartphone that can compete with the spec sheet of the realme 6i, making it look like a great offer. If you wish to spend a lot of time gaming, my recommendation would be to get the version with 6GB of RAM, but for that you can get the realme 6.

The Realme 6i is an interesting new choice for anyone looking for good hardware and features on a tight budget. It offers nearly all the good parts of the Realme 6 (Review), such as the powerful Helio G90T processor, 4,300mAh battery, and 90Hz refresh rate display. The places where it cuts back are the bundled charger and camera performance. For the asking price, the base variant of the Realme 6i offers good value for money as there is no other smartphone with a 90Hz display at this price. If you don't care much about that, the Poco M2 Pro (Review) could be a suitable alternative.

Much like the Realme 6, the Realme 6i delivers on its promises. It has a smooth and beautiful display with a 90Hz refresh rate, its design is uncommon and more subtle when compared with its siblings. The processor does a good job of handling a plethora of apps and allows not-so-intensive games to run well. Its cameras are also nice and produce detail-rich photos, both under bright light and low light using the night mode. And finally, the battery on the Realme 6i can last for about a day on a single charge and is capable enough to let you use a lot of apps without any worry.

I think this is a good time for Realme to bring the Realme 6i to the market. It is built much like the Realme 6, which is a good point to start from. Yes, the specifications are toned down, but so is the starting price. It looks as though the Realme 6i will appeal to those looking for performance on a budget, but should it be your first choice? Realme has done a great job of positioning the Realme 6i as a tough to beat offer. You can't find a phone with as large a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, this level of performance, this versatility of the camera experience, and this battery. Now add a nice build and a design that hits above its pay grade and you have a solid deal.

For only 350 Euros (~$394), the realme 6 Pro has a lot to offer on its datasheet. A 90 Hz display, a quad-cam system on the back plus a dual-selfie cam and a decent amount of memory. Our test report shows what the manufacturer ultimately gets out of the installed hardware.

Realme comes with a starting price tag of Rs 16,999. The price goes up to Rs 19,999 for the high-end 8GB RAM variant. Is it expensive? To that, we would answer that the phone is a true value for its money. In the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment, the phone has too much to offer. A competent processor, a quad camera with 64MP main sensor, long battery life with decent fast charging and a big screen with 90Hz refresh rate. Though there are scope for improvements across points like better camera, bloat-free UI and others. The phone will compete with Poco X2 and the company’s own Realme X2 which offer a Snapdragon 730G processor by paying a few more bucks.

The Realme 6 Pro pairs a competent Snapdragon 720G processor with a versatile set of cameras and a pair of really good selfie shooters. The phone looks and feels fantastic in the hand, and with a bit of software optimization for the rear cameras, the Realme 6 Pro could be the mid-ranger to beat.

We have no idea how much the Realme 6 Pro will be in the Philippines, though Realme has a real chance here to steal Xiaomi’s thunder especially if they stick to India pricing of the phone which is pegged at INR 19,999, which is equivalent to Php 13.5K here. If they price their newest phone extremely close to India’s pricing, then it looks like Xiaomi has a real fight in its hands in the mid-range space. We’ll all find out on the 25th.

Realme:
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
ARM Mali-G76 MP4: Integrated graphics card based on the second generation of the Bifrost architecture. Uses 4 of the 20 possible clusters and according to ARM offers twice the performance per cluster than the old Mali-G72.
ARM Mali-G52 MP2: Integrated mid range graphics card with 2 clusters. ARM states that the G52 series is 30% faster and 15% more efficient compared to the G51 series on the same process node.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
Qualcomm Adreno 618: Integrated (in the Snapdragon 730) graphics card based on the Adreno 600 architecture. Supports DirectX11_1, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.2.

79.62%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
