The long-awaited small iPhone has a 4-inch display and it looks similar to the iPhone 5 lineup, but provides "exceptional performance in a compact design."

Apple may have just launched the perfect product for many consumers who were waiting to see something like this coming out, namely the iPhone SE. Although its design is far from special and it looks a lot like the iPhone 5 family, the new iPhone SE brings flagship power and specs to the 4-inch form factor.

These are the specs and features of the new Apple iPhone 5SE:

  • Processor: 64-bit A9 SoC (the same used by iPhone 6S)
  • Memory/Storage: 2 GB RAM; 16 GB or 64 GB internal storage
  • Display: 4-inch LED backlit multitouch with 640X1,136 pixels and 326 ppi, fingerprint‑resistant oleophobic coating, 800:1 contrast and 500 cd/m2 maximum brightness
  • Cameras: 1.2 MP front, 12 MP on the back with 4K@30 fps video recording
  • Connectivity: 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, NFC, micro USB 2.0
  • Operating system: iOS 9.3
  • Weight/Dimensions: 0.25 pounds; 4.87X2.31X0.3 inches
  • Battery/Autonomy: embedded 1642 mAh lithium-polymer; up to 13 hours video playback, 14 hours 3G talk time, 50 hours audio playback, and up to 10 days in standby
  • Colors: silver, gold, space gray, rose gold

The US market will get the iPhone SE starting at $399 USD later this month - pre-orders begin on the 24th and availability on Thursday, March 31. The handset will be available from all major US carriers, as well as via Apple.com, Apple's retail stores, and from the company's authorized resellers.
