Xiaomi's Mi 65W Fast Charger uses GaN technology and is only €29.99

Gallium Nitride (GaN) chargers are slowly becoming more commonplace, primarily because of their advantages of conventional silicon ones. The likes of Aukey and UGREEN have already released GaN chargers, but now Xiaomi has got on in the act. Announced alongside the Mi 10T series and Mi Watch earlier this week, the Mi 65W Fast Charger is apparently half the size of other fast chargers, but it can still fully recharge the likes of the Mi 10 Pro in 45 minutes.

The Mi 65W Fast Charger also supports fast-charging standards including USB Power Delivery 3.0, meaning that it should recharge most smartphones, laptops and tablets quickly. For example, Xiaomi claims that its charger can recharge the iPhone 11 50% faster than Apple's 5W bundled charger can. Specifically, the Mi 65W Fast Charger can output at the following levels:

• 5.0V/3.0A - 15W
• 9.0V/3.0A - 27W
• 12.0V/3.0A - 36W
• 15.0V/3.0A - 45W
• 10.0V/5.0A - 50W
• 20.0V/3.25A - 65W

The best part about the Mi 65W Fast Charger is that it costs just €29.99. Xiaomi is yet to announce a release date, but it will apparently be available 'soon'.
