Xiaomi is preparing to launch another budget-oriented device following the recent debuts of the Redmi 15, Redmi 15 5G and Redmi 15C. This time, the company has switched to its Poco sub-brand with what is expected to be the Poco M7 Plus.
To recap, Xiaomi already sells several devices under the Poco M7 series, including the Poco M7 Pro 5G (curr. $259 on Amazon). Based on current thinking, the Poco M7 Plus is a re-branded Redmi 15 5G, which arrived in Europe last week. Assuming there are no hardware changes between models, then we should see the Poco M7 Plus lining up with the following hardware highlights:
- 6.9-inch IPS display, 1080p resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset
- 4 GB RAM/128 GB storage
- 50 MP primary & 8 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras
- 7,000 mAh battery
Reportedly, Xiaomi will launch the Poco M7 Plus in India on August 13. As it stands, the device is anticipated to start for less than INR 15,000 (~$171) in its base memory option. There is no word on international availability yet, though.
