The 15 Ultra allegedly goes by the code-name Night God in Xiaomi's imaging lab (an impressive facility about to upgrade to its own Paradise-style fake sun, according to the respected leaker Digital Chat Station) right now - however, it is backed to become known as the OEM's latest "imaging technology flagship" on its impending launch, according to the latest leak.
It purports to confirm that the device will have 4 cutting-edge sensors on its newly two-toned rear panel, 1 of which will be 200MP in resolution. Its f/2.6 1/1.4-inch 100mm lens is backed to turn it into the ultimate periscope zoom camera on its debut with "ISZ lossless output" at a range of focal lengths: 0.6X; 1X; 2X; 3X; 4.3X; 8.7X and 17.3X.
The 15 Ultra's other 3 cameras are tipped to be 50MP apiece, although only its f/1.63 23mm main lens will have a 1/0.98-inch sensor. The 14mm f/2.2 module next to it is to have ultrawide-angle duties, while the last one is believed to be an f/1.8 70mm zoom for telephoto macros (the next big must-have among top-grade handsets).
All of those "Ultra-Pure Optics" are focused on ensuring that the 15 Ultra is unleashed as the Android market's new low-light champion just prior to MWC 2025. It will reportedly be joined by Xiaomi's latest Mijia smart appliances, "Super XiaoAI" smart speaker and the Buds 5 Pro during that event.
