With the imminent arrival of Summer Game Fest, many conferences will be making their appearance in the days and weeks to come. This is particularly true of the Xbox Showcase, which will enable gamers to discover new games this Sunday, June 8. And on this subject, it seems that a major studio has announced its presence at the event.
So, while many games are expected, such as The Outer Worlds 2, Undead Labs could well be the headliner. Indeed, State of Decay 3 is back in the news with a new image posted on social networks with the following message: “Look beyond to understand”. This has had the effect of rekindling fan's enthusiasm for the game, which has kept a low profile since its initial announcement four years ago.
So, for avid gamers of this apocalyptic universe, this image would be a disguised confirmation of State of Decay 3's presence at the Xbox Showcase on June 8.
As a result, the excitement is palpable, which is entirely understandable. It has to be said that the State of Decay franchise has captured the hearts of gamers over the years with a formula combining survival, base management and open-world exploration. However, despite its success, State of Decay 2 disappointed some gamers, scoring 66 on Metacritic on Xbox One and 69 on PC.
But in the meantime, Undead Labs has been bought out by Microsoft, bringing with it new economic and technological resources. In other words, State of Decay 3, whose presence at the Xbox Showcase seems assured, could well be the best opus in the franchise. And all the while bringing new features such as cooperative exploration, which is eagerly awaited by fans.
The conference will take place at 10 a.m. in the U.S. and 6 p.m. in the UK. Not to mention a host of new features, much to the delight of gamers who've been waiting for months.
