Waze adds YouTube Music integration to its Android/iOS app
The popular navigation aid Waze has had the ability to control the audio from several music streaming apps for some time. YouTube Music is the latest example of these. Users who subscribe to the Premium version of this service can take advantage of this new feature.
Waze is a service that is often seen as an alternative to Google Maps, even though they are both owned by the same company. One of its most original features is the Waze Audio Player, which integrates the audio from one of several different apps, including Spotify, Deezer, Scribd, Pandora and TuneIn.
It has several benefits, not the least that a user does not have to switch from app to app while driving. YouTube Music is the latest app to be integrated with Waze in this way. This will allow its users to play its content directly from the mapping app.
Google has announced that this new feature will be rolling out from now in the 50 regions in which both apps are available. This new ability is open to those who subscribe to YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium. It also applies to either the Apple Store or Google Play Store versions of both apps.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
