YouTube Music has gained the option of saving your queue as a playlist, a feature previously available on Google Play Music. The feature should also work when using the 'Start radio' function.

YouTube Music launched over six years ago, but it is yet to reach feature parity with Google Play Music, Google's previous music streaming service. However, a Redditor has discovered that YouTube Music now supports saving your queue as a playlist, already supported by other major music streaming services.

While the update has reached some devices, it is not available to all just yet. Currently, we are unable to find the feature within the Android or iOS apps in the UK, for example. There are no outstanding updates available for either platform, for reference. As XDA Developers notes, the update is probably on a limited rollout for the time being as part of a final round of testing.

When the feature does arrive, you will be able to save your queue as a playlist through the 'Up Next' tab. Previously, YouTube Music had no UI element separating the Up Next tab from your queue. The new feature will allow you to save your queue, including radio queues, to a new playlist or an existing one. Incidentally, Google recently released YouTube Music widgets based on its new Material You design language.
