Urbanista is advancing towards a truly cordless future. It has debuted the second-gen Phoenix true wireless earbuds and Los Angeles headphones. They bring a number of upgrades over their predecessors, and the good part is that they still rely on Exeger's Powerfoyle solar charging tech.

The second-generation Urbanista Los Angeles headphones and Phoenix earbuds are here. Both the audio gears are based on Exerger's Powerfoyle solar charging tech that made the first-gen units stand out from the crowd. But they come with a host of upgrades.

Among them are more power-efficient hardware, adaptive active noise cancellation, and a more comfort-forward design. Even with these upgrades, the second-gen Urbanista solar charging audio products are cheaper than their predecessors. Specifically, the new Phoenix wireless earbuds will cost you $129, while the originals debuted with a $149 price tag (curr. $99 on Amazon).

The second-gen Urbanista Los Angeles headphones, on the other hand, will cost you $179. In comparison, the first-gen cans were $199 (curr. $95 on Amazon). Oddly, despite having power-efficient hardware, the headphones saw a drop in the advertised battery life. It's rated for 60 hours instead of 80.

Urbanista says it's due to the more comfortable design that the new Bluetooth headphones adopt. They basically have a smaller internal battery for achieving a lighter body. But 60 hours is still better than the competitors. To compare, Apple AirPods Max (curr. $480 on Amazon) can offer up to 20 hours of battery life, while Sony WH-1000XM5 (curr. $348 on Amazon) can deliver up to 30 hours. The second-gen Phoenix saw an upgrade, however. The new earbuds can offer up to 40 hours of runtime, up from 34 hours from the predecessors.

On top of that, both the Urbanista Los Angeles headphones and Phoenix earbuds have Powerfoyle solar charging material from Exeger. The company says this material can make its earbuds and headphones easily last for weeks if they're exposed to light. The interesting bit is indoor ambient light also charges them, with the company claiming that it's possible to get infinite playtime. You can learn more about Exeger's solar charging tech from the videos of the first-gen products attached below.
