The new 14-inch Linux-based business laptop from Tuxedo weighs around 2.2 lbs and is fairly thin. CPU options include the i5-1135G7 and i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake-U CPUs with Iris Xe iGPUs, which can be coupled with up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. This model is among the first to offer a 3K display with LTPS LCD technology that is usually seen on smartphones.

Schenker subsidiary Tuxedo is introducing a new Linux-based 14-inch business laptop powered by Intel’s Tiger Lake-U processors. It does not come with a dedicated GPU, unfortunately, but, to compensate, it gets a 3K LTPS display option with 16:10 aspect ratio.

The new Infinity Book Pro 14 from Tuxedo can be equipped with either a Core i5-1135G7 with 80 EU Iris Xe iGPU or an i7-1165G7 processor with 96 EU Iris Xe iGPU.  These can be coupled with a maximum of 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and the storage solution supports up to 4 TB capacities through the M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 4.0 X2 slots, plus it also offers Intel Optane memory compatibility.

When it comes to display options, the Infinity Book Pro 14 is still offering the usual FHD IPS panel with 60 Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, 95% sRGB color gamut and 400 nits brightness. However, it now introduces a new 3K LTPS (low-temperature polycrystalline silicon) LCD panel option with 2880 x 1800 effective resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio,  90 Hz refresh rate, 99% sRGB color gamut and 400 nit brightness.

As far as portability goes, the new 14-inch laptop weighs around 2.2 lbs depending on the configuration and is 0.6-inch thick. The chassis is made almost entirely out of magnesium alloy, except for the display frame that is made of resin. It is quite sturdy too thanks to the MIL-STD 810G certification.

Port selection comes with 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 + 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2  (with DP 1.4) and a full option Thunderbolt 4 connector that can charge the laptop. There is also an HDMI 2.0 video output, a 2-in-1 audio jack and a full-size SD card reader. Other features include Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.1, a 1 MP webcam, HD audio and 53 Wh battery. Users can disable the webcam, wireless adapter and audio features, along with the Intel Management Engine through the custom BIOS.

Pre-orders are already live and prices start at ~US$1530, but if you need that 3K display, you will have to pay at least ~US$1590. Shipping will begin on May 31.
