Latest CS2 update fixes many issues, brings back community maps ↺
The Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) update launched with a major bang. While it's not an entirely new game, it revamped Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) with updated game mechanics, improved visuals, and the new Source 2 engine. But the game's launch wasn't perfect.
Shortly after launch, CS2 players noticed various issues. Some of them even gave the players a competitive edge. For example, there's the "Smooth Criminal" bug that caused the character model to distort while strafing. While Valve quickly fixed this problem, some of the other issues were still left unaddressed on that specific patch.
That includes a microphone bug, inaccurate knife hit registration, and players randomly dying behind walls due to how the server worked. Well, with the November 2 CS2 update, Valve has addressed and fixed all of these bugs.
In addition to that, the November 2 update for CS2 brought back community maps to the game. As the tweet from the official Counter-Strike 2 account says, community map makers can finally upload their maps to the workshop. And community servers can now host those maps.
Overall, considering the fact that the patch addresses the major game issues and brings back the fan-favorite maps support, this CS2 update has been well received by the community.
