The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is currently on sale on Best Buy and Amazon for just $550, $150 off its launch price, which is an incredible bargain for one of the few Android devices with a 4k display.

Another day, another great smartphone deal for those on the prowl for value picks. This time out, it's the XZ Premium that gets the attention, with the Sony flagship currently available on Amazon and Best Buy for just US$550, US$150 off its regular retail price.

The XZ Premium is Sony's top of the line flagship for the year, even ranking above the XZ1 that was released a few months ago. The XZ1 sports a 5.2-inch FHD display, for example, while the XZ Premium opts for a 5.46-inch 4K display, making it one of the few Android devices to have a display of that resolution.

Other than that, the XZ Premium is powered by the Snapdragon 835, is IP68 certified, and has a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on its display, It also features 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a 19 MP rear camera that supports 720p recording at 960fps, a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 3230 mAh battery. Unlike some of the other flagships released this year, it also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The software side of things is also as good as it gets, as the XZ Premium was the first non-Google device to receive the Android Oreo update.

Amazon has the Black and Pink options for US$549.99, and the Red and Chrome for US$599. Best Buy, however, has the Black, Chrome, and Pink for US$549.99.
