The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite receives a new update for what could be the penultimate time

Xiaomi has started rolling out V11.0.20.0.QDLMIXM to the Mi A2 Lite, the latest update for the device. Last month, the device received its first update in three months, with Xiaomi having decided against rolling out the March or April 2021 security patches to it, for some reason.

Unsurprisingly, V11.0.20.0.QDLMIXM contains the June 2021 set of security patches. You can read what Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) Google has addressed this month in its latest Security Bulletin. It seems that Xiaomi has only upgraded the Mi A2 Lite's security patch with V11.0.20.0.QDLMIXM.

V11.0.20.0.QDLMIXM should be rolling out as an OTA download now. Xiaomi promised to issue three years of security patches to the Mi A2 Lite, starting from July 2018. Hence, V11.0.20.0.QDLMIXM may be the Mi A2 Lite's penultimate update. Regardless, we would expect Xiaomi to issue V11.0.21.0.QDLMIXM next month.
