A device called the "HMD Global Nokia X20" has popped up on Geekbench 5, detected as running on a Snapdragon 480 processor. This SoC is aimed at affordable new 5G phones, suggesting that this putative X20 will fall into this tier on launch. Its new leak also suggests it has 6GB of RAM and runs Android 11.

There are signs that at least one OEM has a Snapdragon 480-powered phone in the works. Now, a new tip suggests Nokia is on the point of joining these ranks. The "X20" has been spotted on the Geekbench 5 database with a "Qualcomm SM4350" platform, indicating the presence of this new platform.

The benchmark also indicates the putative Nokia phone has 6GB of RAM and might ship with Android 11 out of the box. Its apparent new silicon has 8 cores that can go at up to 2.0GHz and has an X51 modem that supports sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G.

Therefore, it is pitched at OEMs wishing to make budget phones with this connectivity in 2021. Currently, it is speculated that the "Nokia X20" might start at around US$420. Furthermore, this leak is the latest in a string of leaks that point to a new naming system for this OEM: for example, this hypothetical new phone might be joined by the G10 in 2021.
