The Realme X50 is now touted to be a 64MP camera phone
The Realme X50 will be this OEM's first dual-band 5G phone on its January 7, 2020 launch. However, TENAA may have spilled much of the detail that may go into that event in the course of certifying it for use on its new bands in China.
This documentation pertains to the Realme RMX2051, which has become linked to the X50 thanks to an earlier leak. However, TENAA may have confirmed they are one and the same, as it shows the device with this model number supports stand-alone and non-standalone (SA and NSA, or, in other words, dual-band) 5G.
The RMX2051 also runs on an SoC clocked at 2.4GHz, which corresponds to the max speed of the Snapdragon 765G that the X50 is to rock. This phone has 6, 8 or 12GB RAM SKUs, with storage options that start at (a slightly underwhelming) 64GB and go up to 256GB. It has a 6.57-inch FHD+ screen, which, unfortunately, is also LCD.
The Realme X50 5G has also been rumored to have popped up on Geekbench in a leak that showed it running on Android 10. TENAA appears to confirm this rumor, indicating the phone will ship with the latest ColorOS 7 skin. The regulator may have also yielded another tasty spec: the RMX2051 has 64+8+12+2MP rear cameras.
This is not completely unusual on Realme phones, but it would be a nice addition to its flavor-of-the-month connectivity. The X50 is also projected to have dual selfie cameras, set in a punch-hole, and TENAA may have also validated that theory: the RMX2051 has 16+8MP front-facing sensors. Finally, the telecomms authority has found that the phone has a 4100mAh battery.
