GameSir has announced an Iron Man edition of its wireless controller, the Morning Star 2 a.k.a. Nova 2 Lite. There will also be three other special editions, two of which are tied to Chinese video games.

In late May, GameSir announced the Nova 2 Lite wireless controller for global markets. However, the same controller already launched in China back in March but as the Morning Star 2. GameSir has now announced that the Chinese version of the controller will be getting an Iron Man edition.

The GameSir Morning Star 2 Iron Man Edition isn't the first special edition controller based on the Marvel superhero. The original Nova Lite also received an Iron Man edition; and in August 2024, GameSir announced the G7 HE Iron Man Limited Edition.

Like its other Iron Man edition controllers, the GameSir Morning Star 2 Iron Man Edition has a red and gold color scheme. The faceplate and backplate are both red with text and drawings of the superhero in gold. It also has red thumbsticks while the rest of the buttons and triggers are gold.

Save for these visual changes, the controller is no different from the standard edition which has Hall Effect joysticks, adjustable Hall Effect analog triggers, and customizable back buttons. The GameSir Morning Star 2 also has a 1,000Hz polling rate when used in wired mode or with the included 2.4GHz adapter. There's a 600mAh battery capacity inside but GameSir doesn't say how many hours of gameplay users can get out of a full charge.

The GameSir Morning Star 2 Iron Man Edition will be available to buy in China on Taobao, starting on September 1 at 10 AM. It will have a price tag of CNY 119.9 (~$17/€14.42) which is cheaper than the $29.99 the Nova 2 Lite sells for on Amazon.

In addition to the Iron Man Edition, GameSir will also announce three other special editions of the Morning Star 2. Two of the special variants will be based on the Chinese video game series, The Legend of Sword and Fairy a.k.a. Chinese Paladin and Guijan 3. The third, which is available to buy now from JD.com, is a Shipboard Panda edition (machine translation) that is reported to be inspired by the crew and pilots of Chinese aircraft carriers.
