Switch 2 restock: Walmart getting units tonight, June 25, Plus members can get early access

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been in high demand ever since it went on sale on June 5. Stocks don’t seem to last long and its hard for fans to uncover where and when the console is available. Fortunately, Walmart has shared information about an upcoming restock and is also giving its paid subscription members a chance to get their hands on the sale earlier than others.

The Walmart Switch 2 page has been updated to show the handheld is going to be restocked tonight, June 25. A banner on the page states that Walmart Plus members will be able to place their orders an hour earlier than everyone else, starting 9pm ET. This means inventory for the general public will be available from 10pm ET so those who are not Walmart Plus members can be ready when stocks go live. This is only available for online shoppers.

Both the Switch 2 and the Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle are available through early access. The former is priced at $449 while the latter comes in at $499.

As successful as the Switch 2 has been since launch, it has faced some criticism as well. Besides the expensive games and accessories, the handheld’s display is being scrutinized for its high response times and blurry/ trailing issues. Furthermore, Nintendo is being very strict about banning users and disabling access to online services for multiple reasons, the most recent case being a slightly offensive username.

This doesn’t seem to be affecting sales, however, as the company is reportedly ramping up production to 3 million units per month. The handheld has already become the best console launch for Nintendo and the fastest-selling game console of all time.
