Soundcore Boom 2 Plus finally goes on sale: Anker's Bluetooth speaker tempts with 140 W, BassUp 2.0, and LED light show
A few weeks ago Anker and its Soundcore brand officially launched the new Boom 2 Plus Bluetooth speaker. As of today, it is available directly from Soundcore and Amazon. The recommended retail price is 199.99 euros (Amazon's price is 229 euros currently, though). Those who take part in the Pre-sale promotion can look forward to a gift. The new Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is available in three colors: black, blue, and green.
The new Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is a new version of the well-known Boom 2 (approx. 120 euros on Amazon) with more power. Anker has installed two 50 W woofers and two 20 W tweeters in the Bluetooth speaker from Soundcore, resulting in a total output of 140 W. BassUp 2.0 technology is once again on board, promising rich bass and significantly more power than the previous generation. If this is not enough, up to 100 speakers can be connected to each other via PartyCast 2.0.
Thanks to IPX7 certification, the Boom 2 Plus is not only waterproof as an outdoor speaker and therefore also suitable for adventures on the beach, pool, or in the rain, but it is also buoyant and floats on water. Inside the robust housing, there is also a battery for up to 20 hours of playtime (at 50 percent volume and without BassUp and light effects), which charges quickly with up to 30 watts and can also act as a power bank to supply external devices with up to 10 W via a USB port. The features of the new Boom 2 Plus party speaker from Soundcore are rounded off by integrated lights at both ends of the device for various LED effects.
