Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 launch apparently brought forward in 2023

Teaser
Qualcomm typically introduces its latest top-of-the-line chipset for mobile devices during its yearly Snapdragon Summit conference. The OEM has confirmed that it will hold such an event in 2023 - just about a month earlier than usual. Meanwhile, a famous leaker asserts that it will be followed by the first smartphone to be based on the potentially cutting-edge 8 Gen 3 SoC not long after that.

Qualcomm has now invited potential Snapdragon Summit attendees to "save the date" for the start of the event in Maui, Hawaii as usual - just not at the time of year that might be expected. The OEM has declared that the event will be held from October 24 to 26, 2023, whereas it has set it in the November of previous years.

Accordingly, it is now thought that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will be unleashed that much earlier too, as part of Qualcomm's "next wave of mind-blowing innovation". The eminent tipster Digital Chat Station asserts that it will break in the form of new flagship smartphones as early as November 2023, starting with the Xiaomi 14 series.

They will be followed thereafter by rivals such as the Vivo X100 series; the OnePlus 12; similarly-named successors to the iQOO 11 line; and a next-gen Realme GT flagship, not to mention Xiaomi's own next-gen Redmi K-series successors.

They are all of course thought to be top-end devices of their respective brands with additional premium specs: for example, the Vivo X100 devices are now thought to land with "breakthrough" imaging systems.
