Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra surface ahead of summer 2023 launch
More details about the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus have emerged online, courtesy of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Expected to be Samsung's flagship tablet for 2023 until the middle of 2024, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is also rumoured to carry over the design of last year's tablets, including a prominent notch on the Ultra model.
Unfortunately, the FCC has held back many details about the models certified, with Samsung requesting confidentiality until November 1 2023. Nonetheless, there are a few nuggets contained within the three listings, such as the return of the Book Cover Tablet Case for the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S9 series will support Wireless Power Sharing for compatible smartphones. As the images below show, the FCC has published documentation for the SM-X810 and SM-X910, the Wi-Fi versions of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
Additionally, there is the SM-818U, a 5G model that Samsung will only sell in North America. For some reason, the FCC has not listed the regular Galaxy Tab S9 yet, which Samsung has associated with the model number SM-X710, or SM-X716B and SM-X718U for global and North American 5G variants. The Galaxy Tab S9 series is anticipated to arrive next month at Samsung's 27th Galaxy Unpacked event. While the exact date of next month's showcase is unknown for now, Samsung has confirmed that it will occur in the final week of July.
