With a recent teaser post, Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 4 will feature a newly released MediaTek SoC. More specifically, this new mid-range smartphone will feature a customized version of the Dimensity 8400. While the company didn't explicitly reveal the launch timeline in that teaser, it appears that promotional posters are already live in China.
These promos appear to have revealed what the upcoming affordable smartphone will look like, and it seems Xiaomi took a little inspiration from the iPhone 16. More specifically, the promotional pictures show that the Redmi Turbo 4 will come with a vertical dual-camera configuration on the back, similar to what Apple did for its new standard flagship phone.
One of these promotional photos also appears to have revealed the launch date. Per the image, the Redmi Turbo 4 will launch in China on January 2, matching what the timeline that previous reports have suggested. The international launch date, on the other hand, is expected sometime in early to mid-2025.
Speaking of which, like the predecessor, the Redmi Turbo 4 is expected to make a global debut under the Poco branding. More specifically, it will reportedly launch as the Poco X7 Pro. The recent leaks have also shed light on the other possible specs of the phone.
This upcoming mid-range phone's SoC is rumored to be paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The front is said to sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. As for the cameras, the back will reportedly sport a 50 MP primary and 8 MP ultrawide. Reports also suggested that there will be a large 6,550 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging support (130 W Ugreen Nexode power bank curr. $64.99 on Amazon).
