Realme has unveiled a new 5G smartphone in its C-series lineup, the C73 5G, in the Indian market. Realme’s new affordable 5G smartphone comes as a direct successor to the C63 and brings decent upgrades in terms of battery and display. Plus, Realme also packs several AI features into the device.
The Realme C73 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage with room for storage expansion up to 2 TB via microSD card. Software-wise, the smartphone runs Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 out of the box. Although there’s no word on software support from the brand, indicating software updates may never arrive.
The 5G-enabled smartphone sports a 6.67-inch LCD display that delivers 1604 x 720 pixels resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 625 nits, and covers 83% NTSC color gamut. Dimensionally, it measures just 7.9 mm (0.31 inch) in thickness and weighs around 197 grams (0.43 lbs). Additionally, the phone is MIL-STD 810H and IP64 certified.
Despite its relatively compact design, Realme managed to squeeze in a large 6,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W wired charging. As far as lenses are concerned, the device boasts a 32 MP primary rear camera and a 32 MP front camera. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, ultra-linear bottom-ported speakers, up to 12 GB of dynamic RAM, and dual 5G connectivity.
Available in jade green, crystal purple, and onyx black colorways, the Realme C73 5G starts at INR 10,499 (~$125/€110) for the base 4 GB + 64 GB model, and the 4 GB + 128 GB model is priced at INR 11,499 ($135/€120). The device is now available for sale via Realme’s official website, Flipkart, and other authorized retailers.
