Realme has officially announced that its first phone with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 flagship processor will be the GT Neo, and that it will debut at the end of March 2021. The OEM has yet to tease any more of its specs, although it is possible it will launch with a curved screen and a 4,400mAh battery.

Realme has confirmed that the GT Neo - hinted at during the flagship GT's launch - will get its own show on March 31, 2021. The OEM has also revealed that it is to be the brand's first Dimensity 1200-powered device. This new MediaTek flagship is slated as an alternative, premium-mid-range alternative to the Qualcomm Snapdragon options typically found in this space.

The OEM has only teased the GT Neo in terms of its new platform; therefore, all we can say for sure is that it will have new ARM Cortex-A78 cores that might go up to 3.0GHz in one case, and will support 5G. A recent leak may offer further insight into the upcoming phone, however.

It comes in the form of a TENAA registration for a Realme RMX3116, suggesting that it is a future launch from the brand: either the GT Neo or also-rumored X9 Pro, in other words. Should it be the former, it may launch with an FHD+ display that exhibits potentially polarizing curves to its long edges.

The putative GT Neo may also ship with Realme UI based on Android 11 and a 4,400mAh battery. The RMX3116 also seems to have a camera hump very similar to that of the GT, which may mean it has triple rear shooters with resolutions of up to 64MP.
