Nokia's highly-awaited 5G smartphone could be launched soon. It just showed up on Geekbench codenamed 'Quicksilver'. The device in question is likely the Nokia 7.3, slated to come with four rear cameras, a 90Hz screen and a 4,000mAh battery.

Last year, a report told us that Nokia would launch a low-cost, 5G-ready smartphone driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset in Q4 2020. Several Nokia-branded devices, including the highly-awaited Nokia 9.3 PureView, saw their launch dates delayed indefinitely in 2020. However, the smartphone could be launched soon, as it just showed up on Geekbench.

Nashvillechatterclass stumbled upon Nokia smartphone codenamed Quicksilver on Geekbench. It ran a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset and netted a single-core score of 471 and a multi-core score of 1,500. Only two upcoming Nokia smartphones fit the description; the Nokia 7.3 that we've heard about on multiple occasions or the Nokia 6.4 that we got to look at recently.

While it could be anybody's guess as to which device is being referenced here, previous reports have speculated that it could be the Nokia 7.3. The smartphone is also expected to come with four rear cameras, an IPS LCD screen clocked at 90Hz and a 4,000mAh battery. One can only hope that HMD Global launches it sooner rather than later, as a low-cost 5G-ready Nokia-branded smartphone has the potential to be well-received by fans and enthusiasts alike.
