After introducing the Eeveelution plushie collection last month, the Pokémon Company has launched a fresh wave of plush toys under the “Ditto Days” banner, featuring Ditto shapeshifted into 21 beloved Pokémon. The twist here is that no matter which Pokémon Ditto mimics, its signature blank-eyed smile gives it away.
The plush toys have already launched and are available now on the US and UK Pokémon Center websites. This unique range includes iconic creatures like Lapras, Dragonite, Mimikyu, and fan-favorite Eevee with all its eight Eeveelutions. Each plush maintains the original design of the Pokémon - except for Ditto’s telltale face, which most fans find adorable.
Here are some quick highlights of the plush drop -
- The 21 plush toys are priced at $19.99 USD each (or £16.99 in the UK)
- Their sizes range from 5 to just over 8 inches
- As mentioned, the collection features Pokémon from various regions, including many from the original 151
- The collection also includes a Ditto as Mimikyu plush, which is a disguise within a disguise
As one can guess, collectors are already scrambling to grab these plushes before they disappear, especially since past Ditto variants like Mareep and Poipole have never returned to shelves. There’s no word yet if more Pokémon will join the Ditto plush lineup. But if demand spikes, like in Japan, where these originally launched, we can expect some more plushies.
And if plushies aren’t enough, new Ditto-themed hand puppets and finger puppet keyrings have also made their debut, with characters like Croagunk, Squirtle, and Slowpoke making an appearance. The puppets retail from $12.99 to $25.99 and are expected to be just as collectible.
