PlayStation shares early look at upcoming merch based on Astro Bot, The Last of Us, Twisted Metal, and other first-party games
PlayStation just announced a new limited edition controller that will be available soon. However, it also provided an early look at some upcoming products that are based on some of its popular titles such as Astro Bot and The Last of Us.
Among the products listed that it plans to announce in future is an Astro Bot Lunch Box. The blue box is shaped like the head of the titular character and even has an antenna. However, the more interesting feature is the lenticular face that changes expressions when you move it.
In addition to the lunch box, PlayStation fans will also be able to buy a mini backpack that is modeled after Ellie's own from The Last of Us. The backpack is made from a light blue canvas material and brown leather. It also has a wing pin and a space shuttle pin attached. This isn't the first time PlayStation will release a backpack based on The Last of Us. In September 2023, it released a replica of Ellie's backpack in celebration of The Last of Us Day.
Alongside the Astro Bot Lunch Box and Ellie Backpack, there will also be a PlayStation-styled baseball jersey. The PlayStation Jersey comes in blue with a white trim, and has the classic PlayStation logo on the front as well as the word PlayStation written in Katakana syllabary. It also has a large PlayStation logo on the back beneath the word “PlayStation”.
PlayStation also provided an image of Twisted Metal Meltz figures based on characters and vehicles from the vehicular combat video game. It will also release several monogram backpack clips based on characters from its titles such as Astro Bot, The Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, Ghost of Yotei, and Sly Cooper.
PlayStation is yet to reveal when these products will be released and how much they will cost. However, it did say that they will be available in the US on Walmart and select stores.
