OnePlus 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 officially revealed at Qualcomm Summit

OnePlus is gearing up to launch new flagship phones, and the OnePlus 15 will be one of them. It will be powered by the newly unveiled Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and the flagship phone was already spotted at a recent gaming tournament. Now, the company has formally showcased the rear design of the smartphone during the Chinese Qualcomm Summit event.

Just like we previously reported, the rear of the OnePlus 15 looks very similar to the Oppo Find X9, which will be powered by the Dimensity 9500. However, unlike Oppo's new flagship phone, OnePlus's offering doesn't have any Hasselblad branding on the back.

This is because the company has decided to go with its in-house DetailMax Engine, forgoing its partnership with Hasselblad for camera tuning on its flagship phone. In addition to showcasing the OnePlus 15 during the Qualcomm event, the brand has teased some of the other specs of the smartphone.

As we covered, Louis Lee, OnePlus's President, has showcased the OnePlus 15 in a new video, which shows the front of the flagship phone. In the video, the smartphone is shown to feature a display with slim bezels and a centered punch hole camera on the top.

Previously, Louis Lee revealed that the OnePlus 15 will make a leap in terms of high refresh rate display. While the exact details are yet to be officially unveiled, recent leaks suggest that the flagship phone will sport a 165 Hz display, a noticeable upgrade over the 120 Hz display found in the predecessor, the OnePlus 13 (512 GB curr. $929.99 on Amazon).

The recent teasers on OnePlus's official Weibo account also suggest that the company's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will come with some gaming-focused optimizations. OnePlus is expected to share more details about its upcoming phones soon.
