The hotly anticipated OnePlus 15 is reportedly launching in China in October. While we already know pretty much everything about the device at this point (from its Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 chipset to its camera system, right down to its haptic motor), the global release date has remained a mystery. Now, we finally have some clarity on that front, and it looks like the global launch may take place much sooner than originally expected.
Details about the OnePlus 15’s global release come courtesy of Tom’s Guide and CNET. For a hot minute, both outlets reported that the OnePlus 15 could launch in the US as soon as November 13th. But in a classic case of “you saw nothing,” both publications have since scrubbed the exact date from their articles.
Either the info wasn’t supposed to be public yet, or OnePlus is still figuring things out and hasn’t set an exact date in stone just yet. It could also be that OnePlus just wants to keep the global launch under wraps until after the phone makes its debut in China. Whatever the case might be, it looks highly likely that we’ll see an international launch way sooner than with previous OnePlus flagships.
The edited Tom’s Guide article still says the phone should hit global markets before the end of this year, so a November launch is still very much a possibility. If true, it would a big departure from OnePlus' usual release cycle. The company typically waits until the first quarter to bring its new flagships overseas. For example, the OnePlus 13 launched globally in January 2025, while the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11 both saw a February release.
Everything is still up in the air, though. OnePlus hasn't even confirmed the Chinese launch date yet — but there are plenty of rumors out there claiming an October launch.
