The OnePlus 11 is moving closer to a global release, with the device expected to launch outside China next month. In the meantime, early benchmark results show the OnePlus 11 is unable to maximise the multi-core potential of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The same benchmark results confirm that 16 GB of RAM SKUs should be available globally, too.

The global version of the OnePlus 11 has turned up on Geekbench ahead of its launch next month. To recap, OnePlus announced its 11th generation smartphone earlier this month as one of the first smartphones with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Also offered with Hasselblad cameras and 100 W fast charging, the OnePlus 10 is likely to be the company's only flagship smartphone during the first half of 2023. In fact, OnePlus has confirmed that it has no plans to release a OnePlus 11 Pro, much as there was no OnePlus 10.

Geekbench does not refer to the OnePlus 11 by its marketing name, with OnePlus CPH2451 shown instead. However, Bluetooth SIG confirmed in November that OnePlus CPH2451 is the model name for the OnePlus 11's global variant. According to Geekbench, the global variant will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, mirroring its Chinese sibling. Also, the device will be available with 16 GB of RAM, unlike the OnePlus 10 Pro. If past flagship releases are anything to go by, OnePlus will offer the device with a cheaper 12 GB of RAM variant too.

There are some surprises when it comes to performance, though. Although the OnePlus 11 meets expectations when it comes to single-core performance, it fails to crack 5,000 points in multi-core work. In comparison, we have observed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 regularly scoring more than 5,200 points, a difference of up to 15% in some results. Potentially, this could be because of pre-release software, with global models relying on OxygenOS 13, not ColorOS 13. OnePlus is expected to showcase the OnePlus 11 outside China on February 7 during a 'Cloud 11' launch event.
